NMHS Unlimited Film Productions (NMHS Unlimited) recently hosted the third annual “Filmmaker’s Bash” event at the Mississippi Museum of Art. The Bash wrapped-up the “It’s About You” Film Festival. The centerpiece of the event was the “Farm to Table” competition, an invitation only competition for chefs. Guests were able to vote for their favorite chef in the “People’s Choice” competition. Damian Shelby, Sous Chef with the Mississippi Museum of Art, received this award. A panel of judges also awarded the “Top Bash Chef” designation to Mike Roemhild, Executive Chef with Table 100. The electrifying Dexter Allen and smooth sounds of Melvin “Housecat” Hendrex provided entertainment for the evening. VIP guests were treated to the premiere of the film “JESSIE: One Woman, One Vision”, a snapshot of the life of Dr. Jessie Bryant Mosley. Featured chefs of the Filmmaker’s Bash included the Kendrick Gordon, One Guy Steak and Chicken; Starkey Myles, CHAR Restaurant; Grant Nooe, Grant’s Kitchen; Mike Roemhild, Table 100; Damian Shelby, Mississippi Museum of Art; and Juanita Elizabeth Smith, Stick a Fork in it Personal Chef and Catering.
