“Walking in Their Footsteps”
The Filmmaker’s Bash will feature an exciting Top Chef competition, showcasing Mississippi’s finest culinary talents with awards presented for “Top Chef” and “People’s Choice Award.” An invitation-only competition, esteemed local chefs are challenged to prepare a dish that represents the Bash’s theme, “Celebrating the Legacy.”
In addition, guests will be treated to an incredible experience: the debut of “Walking in Their Footsteps,” a play written, produced, and directed by Dr. Wilma E. Mosley Clopton, president and CEO of NMHS Unlimited Film Productions. It will be performed by the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, narrated by Amanda Furdge, and feature “The Women of Tougaloo.” This history-making play celebrates the contributions of five local women whose brave efforts brought about significant change not only to Mississippi – but the world.
Bash guests will also enjoy live entertainment, featuring acclaimed headliners Rita Brent, Deanna Tisdale Johnson, Georgia Cochran, and Arriannia Washington of the Four Washingtons.
This black-tie event will be held from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., and general admission tickets are $100 per person. An optional VIP experience, with tickets $250 each, begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes two new experiences, “Conversations with the Chefs” and an “After-play Chefs Dessert Competition.”
Guests may also choose a Reserved Table for $800, which includes eight general admission tickets. Additionally, a Table Sponsor option for $1,500 is also available, and includes eight VIP Experience tickets plus acknowledgment at the Bash.
