Calling All Young Filmmakers!

Digital Magic is an interactive, hands-on program that introduces students to documentary filmmaking by using familiar technology such as Smartphones, iPhones, and iPads. Why not have fun learning valuable techniques, terminology, research methods, and making your own short videos? Digital Magic Film Camp will sharpen students’ ability to analyze, evaluate, and communicate in today’s always-connected world.

Why Digital Magic?

As a virtual course led by teachers, Digital Magic is designed to encourage students in grades K-12 to research and find the resources they need to bring their own voices to life. As a digital literacy program with an educational focus on mathematics and language arts, each student will apply their research to their project while also learning valuable new skillsets – all of which help ensure they are college and career ready while also building confidence and shaping long-term goals! The Digital Magic Film Camp has been strategically developed to meet the National and Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards.

When is Digital Magic?

June 1st – June 30th, weekdays, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Each week, students will follow a curated and fun lesson plan as they master new skills designed to prepare them for their filmmaking project, which will be showcased at the Digital Magic Summer Film Fest on June 30th.
