Filmmaker’s Bash Chefs Alex Eaton and Jesse Houston Receive Awards
Congratulations to Chef Alex Eaton of Manship Wood Fired Kitchen for being crowned the King of the 2016 Mississippi Seafood Cook-off with his Snapper Collar dish. The Mississippi Seafood Cook-off was held in downtown Gulfport on May 26 in conjunction with the inaugural Mississippi Seafood Experience. In August, Eaton will go on to represent Mississippi at the Great American Seafood Cook-off in New Orleans, followed by an appearance in World Food Championships: The Ultimate Food Fight , being held in Orange Beach, AL in November.
NMHS Unlimited also wishes to congratulate our 2016 Filmmaker’s Bash Top Chef, Jesse Houston, owner and chef at Saltine in Jackson. Jesse took home the Runner-Up medal in the 2016 Mississippi Seafood Cook-off with his Crab Custard. Chef Jesse is also a recent James Beard nominee for Best Chef South.
